My name is Russ Marriott and with my wife Jackie, we are the "caretakers" of the General William Floyd House. We're actually the owners as well, but when we say caretakers we are giving you a glimpse into the philosophy behind the relationship we have with this house. Relative to the history of this landmark our presence is brief. Our goal is to try to be the best stewards we can possibly be with the resources we have. We are very passionate about the restoration and preservation of the house. We feel very fortunate and privileged to be able to live and work in the general's home because we know that he loved it just as much as we do.

We also feel we have a responsibility to share our experiences. This history of the General and his home are not the property of the owners, but are the property of all of us as Americans. For years we have tried to share the house, the life of the General and our restoration experiences in many different ways. We hope this web site will offer another means to achieve that goal.
